Hearts and Flowers Quilt

I just loved making this quilt for my daughter, she LOVES Pink!

It's freezer paper/glue, machine zig zag in clear nylon. I'm 'Barb' and 'Barb Rose' ....... I seem to come up with two names? Bye

Here is my second block

Sorry for the long delay but i have had a shocking cold and just getting over it now. Can't say i really like this block i noticed a did a mistake in this block the cactus thing in the middle should be a different shape too the rest but it will do.
Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day to take pictures of the next 3 blocks but it is really overcast i am so over the rain it has rained here for the last 2 weeks non stop would really love to see some sunshine.

I just wish you can see the real colour of the background fabric it is a pinky lavendar colour is is really divine.

Stars and Sprigs

These are the new additions to my Stars and Sprigs quilt. I made a few more appliqué blocks and made 3 stars to see how it goes. I did cut fabric for more stars; but have not finished the sewing. I will not trim the blocks until it is time to sew them together. The 2 blocks below are blocks 11 and 12. Block 11 was done over the Atlantic Ocean going east and 12 coming back west bound. They were in my carry on baggage; but the airline asked me to check my bag. So I did. The bag was lost; but I got it delivered 24 hours later in the middle of the night. I was so worried that I would not see them again. Never mind the new shoes and hat in the same bag. ;-)

A Block! A Block!

I can't believe it, I've actually cut a block out, and I even started to stitch it last night. I'm pretty happy with the colours. I haven't picked the whole quilt out, I never do that. I just like to see where things develop.
Don't worry, there's other colours going over the top of that big dark vase, it needs breaking up.

I've decided that I'm going to have a designing holiday over the Christmas break and let myself play with all the half started things I want to play with, like this quilt and a few others I've had sitting around for a while, so you should be hearing from me a little more often after December 15!

If anyone is still interested in my tweezer scissors that I use for applique, I managed to source some in Houston and they are being delivered. I don't know how much yet, but I think about $12. If you're interested just send me an email!
