I have been a fan of Kaffe Fassetts colors and fabric for a long time but I could never conceive how to use them. I love Kim McLean's work and have admired her talent too. When the Roseville quilt came out recently I knew I could finally take the plunge.
I bought the pattern right away and have been looking for a background. I didn't want a polka dot (although I like the effect). I've been shopping around I felt I'd know when I found the right thing. I found it Saturday. It is in the background of the picture, a pale pale pale creamsicle. It makes me hungry (to begin).
Up until a few hours ago I didn't even own any of Kaffe's fabric above. It's going to be an interesting journey.
