1st block done

Hello roseville fans,

May I present my first block of this fabulous quit. It took some time before I actually managed to get his block ready, fell down stairs and broke my foot, but here it is. I had a great time making this block, not too sure if I want to fussy cut or not. That process would take enormous amounts of fabric and I didn't buy that much in the States. If you look closely you can see that I cross stitch around the edges, don't like doing traditional applique, guess I'm a cross stitcher at heart. I just love this type of work and the added bonus of being a part of this blogging community is fantastic. Do any of you know of any other groups doing this type of project? I'm already a part of the Civil War Bridal Quilt and I would like to know of any other groups, so keep me updated. I'm looking forward to getting block 2 done, I think that I will use the same glittery fabric for all the vases, I'm a blingy type of girl!!
