More on Tracing

Pat's earlier post about tracing had me thinking about circles.

I'm terrible at drawing.  And circles are especially challenging because they really need to be as perfect as possible or they just don't look right.  Unless they're really small (maybe less than 1 inch in diameter) I find them hard to trace free handed.

However, there's a solution, and one that everyone can use.  Our lives are full of circles of all different sizes:

For every applique circle that I've encountered, I have found something in my home to use as a tracing template.

This shot glass will work perfectly for the small circles in this Lollipop Tree block.
I'm sure many of you have sets of nice plastic circle templates.  But if you don't, never fear!  You have every size you need already in your home.
